    Hi Tony & Pam,
A quick note to tell you how we got on in Malta. Well to start with the weather was SHITE (wanted to get that word in somewhere) but you probably knew that already. Malta is, as all S European countries, not really attractive when the hailstones are hurtling down and winds whipping the tears out of your eyes
However we saw a lot and I was particularly impressed by the story of the siege of Malta that was going on at the same time that theTudors were lording it in England & Wales. It gave me a different slant on world history with the realization that World History was being made in the Med and that the rest was just a sideshow.
Unfortunately Henny (my wife) had an accident at Luminoso- she had to brake for a dog and fell off her bike breaking her wrist- so I am typing this message at home in Gouda (NL) We hope to get back quickly but the future is unclear.
    best wishes – good travelling!!
    Richard

    Hello T & P

It was great to meet you at Vilanova. I see you were not lured into replacing snuggly. After heading south to Malaga then a quick trip back to Scotland we came back, picked up the hymer from the long stay 43 eu for two weeks and have ddecided to stay at vilanova for the next few months spending three weeks or so there and 10 days back in Scotland at a time. 25 eu airfares
    certainly help!
Looking at your pics I smiled. Puerto De mazzaron – we free camped in exactly that spot 10 years ago and revisited it this year. I hope Morocco is great most I talk to rave about it and I look forward to hearing more about your great adventures.
Hopefully our paths will cross again before too long.

    Happy trails

Hiya both. Great to hear from you again and well done in extending your visa. These pictures sure brought back some good memories. We didn’t get as far as Taroudant but Tafraoute was brilliant. We stayed on the little campsite for almost nothing, but even then there were a few folks outside the site wild camping! I bought the slippers and they are really comfortable too. Some of the views in the Atlas Mountains are just stunning aren’t they. Surprised no pictures of tree-climbing goats yet!!!

Have wound up in a lovely little site in Zagora (Prends Ton Temps – in the Vicarious book) will probably chill here for a couple of days. Entrance looks a bit tight for your rig, though! Your blog looks great, makes us look like the amateurs we are!

Hi. We left you and had a nice drive back staying at a municipal site in Rodez. We left there the following morning and when we stopped for lunch chris was making a brew and could hear rushing water under the sink. I quickly drained the tank off and eventually found one if the pipes to the sink tap had fallen off. We are just glad it happened at a time that did not matter The walled city you went to sounds great we need to go there…

        Take care. Graham & Chris

Hi, we met, but actually didn’t, but you left your card under our windscreen wiper at Lindisfarne parking place. We didn’t find it untill we were driving off the island otherwise would have left you our details, actually saw your van again a couple of days later as we were heading south from Scarborough.
Love the blog, something we hope to do in the next couple of years once Jessa retires, we try to keep a record of where we travel otherwise it all blurs into one a few months later.
Have sent membership off to IAH so hopfully meet up some time in the future

    Take care

Hi, just browsed through your Majorca blog. It sounded great. We are aiming to go mid august to mid sept the back to Spain and poss morocco again. Q. Did you have any probs finding places to stay? And Q2, we can take a scooter or bikes (we’re not youngsters), any advice as to which would be best? We’ll be ok, I hope, on the narrow roads cos we are only 6m, and managed Corsica ok ….. apart from boiling the brake fluid, which tends to focus your attention half way down a mountain! Thanks in advance for any info, Paul n Lindsay

      Hi Paul
Majorca was fantastic wish we were going with you! We travelled there in March/April so it was quiet obviously in August/September it will be a lot busier.
We had no problems in finding places to stay, everyone was incredibly friendly,we stayed at a few restaurants & there’s even a car park in Inca with free electricity hopefully that’s still the case, we really enjoyed Port Soller stayed on the marina. I’d say take your scooter even though it’s bikers paradise but as you say your not youngsters anymore. We managed fine in our 8 metre motorhome, you’ll have a great time, very jealous.
      Safe Travels

We lived in Dolgellau, but moved to Brittany 20 years ago. Now we’re selling the house and change our camper to do the same thing, there is more to life than work, just to pay bills.

Hello you rascals ! Yet another sticker we see !! Love your blog, but horrified at Hobby 1’s sudden departure – probably all our deepest fear. Understand you are on the road
again, and wish you well. We have done so many miles since Nordkapp 2017 too. (but why no replies to our emails ??!!) Not always possible for us to be on-line, but like to keep in touch. A bientôt, Lynne & Derek from Fréjus in France.
